Can You Make the Sale?
Making the sale can be tricky. It all depends on attitude, tactics, and solving problems in new, neat ways. In this article we will look at all the right things that you need to make a sale. We will also take a look at what special techniques certain selling tactics often call for. Although following these tips will probably not mean you make the sale every time you try, they will mean that your overall sales tactic will improve, with time, and soon you will be making more sales.
Attitude
Your attitude should be that of a winner. You need to be confident in yourself, be motivated, be confident and knowledgeable in your company and product, and do you best to keep going, even when things seem tough. Love the time you get to spend communicating with clients, and always be sure to follow-up and follow-through to get sales, when needed. Develop presentation skills, as well as what you know about what you are selling. Remember that what you are selling is worth it, and will help the customer in the end. Keep your mind open to suggestions from other salespeople, as well.
Calls & Discovery Calls
When doing calls, be sure you have a way of tracking success. Figure out when the best time is to call, and call then. While on the phone, lure the customers with buy-in sentences. Introduce yourself, tell them why you are calling, and then proceed to try to make the sale, confirm details, or remind them they need to renew. Discovery calls are a bit different. Again, measure your success, here. Try to let your client know how you can help them. Give them the benefits. Tell them how you can solve their issues, and talk to them.
Voicemails & Emails
Voicemails should be short and sweet. Measure success by call backs. Try to use a script to keep them short and concise. Ask to be called back after telling them the reason for the call. Only include what is most important, and repeat contact details. On an email, include only attachments you need. Make the subject line snappy. Let them know what the next steps of the process will be. Show them customer reviews from customers like them. Don’t make it too fancy. Try to make the email personal by recapping questions and answers the client provided you with.
